I love working with couples to create a unique and beautiful start to their wedding day.
My pricing is flexible and reflects the time, travel and experience involved in creating a ceremony you will love. Meeting couples and hearing their story is one of my favourite things about being a celebrant.
Many couples I meet initially tell me that they want something short and simple. Often this turns out to NOT be the case. What they want is GOOD, and they think 'short and sweet' is what that means – guests won’t be bored or made to feel uncomfortable etc... But after having a chat they usually realise that they love the idea of personalising their ceremony. They love the idea of it being unique to them and a true reflection of who they are, incorporating their friends and family every step of the way. Engaging and memorable. And a GOOD celebrant will always deliver a GOOD ceremony – long, short, simple, complex. That is my job, and I take pride in being GOOD.
However, there is the odd occasion when a more registry office type ceremony is wanted, so I have put together a package that reflects this. I don’t compromise on my professionalism, and the love of my job, but there are limits in place with this package:
We don’t meet. Everything is arranged by phone/email.
You can get married wherever you like.
You can get married whenever you like, but it is unlikely that I will have spots available on Friday and Saturday afternoons during the wedding season.
I perform a generic, set ceremony. Still lovingly written by me, but with no scope for change.
You may write your own vows and include a reading in the ceremony. No other personalisation is available.
I will assist you with applying for your marriage licence (which costs $150) and the marriage certificate that follows ($33). These fees are separate to my fee.
The cost for this registry office alternative is $400. (Travel fees will apply beyond 35kms from my home.)
Please inquire for full terms and conditions.
(A registry office wedding costs $240, with no scope for personalisation at all and must take place between Monday to Friday, within office hours.)
